About Us

Ditton Infant School is a small, 2 form entry school with Foundation status for children aged 4-7. We recognise that the school has an important part to play in the community, where we benefit from the goodwill and support of the parents, village residents and local businesses. We are also fortunate in having good links with our local nursery schools thus creating an easy transition into school which enables children to settle quickly and build on the learning that has already taken place in their pre-school years.

We have 6 well-resourced classrooms, a wellbeing area, speech and language resource area, a large school hall and spacious grounds which include a playground, Year R and Year 1 outdoor areas, wildlife garden, sensory garden and a large playing field which we share with Ditton Junior School.

Ditton Infant School recognises the importance of providing an ethos and environment within school that will help children to feel safe, secure and respected; encourage them to talk openly and enable them to feel confident that they will be listened to. Maintaining children’s welfare is our paramount concern.

We are proud to be able to offer:

A small village school where every child is welcomed and valued.

An experienced team of dedicated, caring and professional staff.

A stimulating and fun curriculum which makes learning irresistible.

An ethos of enjoyment, creativity and willingness to 'have a go'.
